Living Beyond Hemophilia

The Road Ahead

Reality sets in—at some point—that you won’t always be able, or want to live with your parents, couch surf, eat the food they buy, be covered by their health insurance, and constantly be reminded to take care of yourself.

It’s hard enough to see beyond high school, and thinking about life after high school can be overwhelming since we have no way of knowing what lies ahead.

You are at a stage where you’re starting to face a lot of different options for your future, go to college, go to a trade or technical school, or find a job and start working. Finding a path forward is not easy, but we’ve provided some resources and insights to help you learn more about yourself and your options, navigate your financial and healthcare independence, and hear from other people who have found their way.

This is an entirely new and different type of resource created specifically for the hemophilia community with insights from those within it.
