Mapping The Future
While in high school you are faced with many different options: go to college, go to a trade or technical school, or graduate and start working. We’ve provided a few homework assignments and tips for each of the different paths you might take.
You can start anywhere you want, but if you identify first what you like to do and what you are good at doing, you might make the journey a little less daunting. There are tons of personality tests and assessments that either your parents or your guidance counselor at school can provide that can be helpful in guiding your direction. We’ve also provided a road map to success to help navigate what you like and want to do, but minus the little round bubbles that you typically have to fill out with a #2 pencil.
Filling out your road map is a starting point. It’s a guide, determined by you. It’s meant to serve, not as a precise GPS guide to your future, but as a compass to point you in the right direction.
