Living Beyond Hemophilia

Work Life

Finding and pursuing a place you want to work, not just a company that has jobs available, can empower you to find a place of employment that fits your personality and your values. To help you get on your road to success, we want to help YOU determine what YOU want for your life post high school.

Before you start applying for jobs, stop to think about what is really important to you in an employer and a work environment. Make a list of attributes your ideal job would have and consider that list when reading job postings or considering a specific company as an employer. Some things to consider include work hours, the distance from your home to work, medical insurance, the size of company, dress code, and other benefits (e.g., vacation time, bonus pay, flexible schedules, on-site gym, etc.).
